Diabetic Sarcopenia Care in Older Adults with Diabetes – a short survey

5th September, A/Prof Chee L Khoo and A/Prof Shannon Lin

sarcopenia

Diabetes-related sarcopenia, characterised by the loss of muscle mass, strength, and function in people with diabetes, is an emerging but under-recognised complication associated with falls, frailty, hospitalisations, and reduced quality of life. I am working closely with researchers at the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) and we are conducting a short survey to understand health professionals’ awareness, knowledge, and current practices relating to diabetes-related sarcopenia. Input from primary care physicians is crucial. The findings will inform education, clinical practice, and future research initiatives aimed at improving early identification and management.

Can you please assist me and the team in filling in a 5-minute survey to better inform us in a coming up clinical trial? Click here to help.

Thanking you.
