Tech & Talk 2022

It’s that time of the year again. It’s Diabetes Tech & Talk 2022. it is that time of the year where we get to interact and intermingle with colleagues – GPs, endocrinologists, diabetes educators and researchers.

We are exploring Innovation and Integration in Diabetes Clinical Care, Self-management and Prevention this year. We are extremely privileged that this year’s key note speaker is Professor Dianna Magliano.

Professor Magliano has over 15 years’ experience in epidemiology, the majority of these in diabetes research. Dianna is interested in the use of large data sets to advance understanding of diabetes trends to inform investment in health resources and enhance diabetes care. She is head at Diabetes and Population Health Unit at Baker Institute.

Her recent work involves using large datasets such as the National Diabetes Service Scheme, the (Australian Diabetes registry) linked to other administrative datasets to understand the burden and trends of diabetes complications. This was the largest linked project conducted in Australia and took over 18 months to traverse the ethical and legal barriers.

Professor Magliano will talk to us on:

The Diabetes Epidemic? Are we winning or losing the battle?

It will be on this Saturday 13th August 2022 from 8.30 am – 4.00pm at the Rydges Campbelltown, 15 Old Menangle Road Campbelltown.
